Mardi Gras Parade & Celebration
Fat Tuesday, February 28th | 5pm-Midnight
As we get further into the New Year it is time to put those New Year’s resolutions to the side for one day and come celebrate the FATTEST day of the year! The Gaslamp Quarter’s Mardi Gras Parade & Celebration is not here to disappoint. Bringing in Art Cars that once graced the hallow grounds of some of the biggest festivals in the United States we are turning some of the most unique floats featured in our World Famous Parade created by artisans into one of a kind stages.
Party next to the Flamingo stage while you sip on a Hurricane, take bites of homegrown New Orleans cuisine and dance to live music while we revel in one of the most epic block parties. Oh yeah don’t forget we have beads, beads and more BEADS… just in case you are wondering if we have beads.
Look for the Canal Street Stage presented by Henry’s Pub and Global BPM to party alongside a variety of DJ’s and dance the night away! Bringing in their own styles of electronic dance music, it is sure to get the party started and beads bouncing!
DJ Yodah, a San Diego based artist has his own funky deep house style and has reached shows all the way in Latin America.
Christopher London is next on the line up, originating from Detroit, MI; he is now a local DJ that can be found all around the Gaslamp any other night of the week.
Joining us is also the only female DJ who was voted Best DJ in San Diego at the NICKY awards in 2015. Bringing in her hard style of the deep house music is sure compliment DJ Yodah.
Last but certainly not least in our line-up is Wolfgang Alexander, who is an upcoming artist here in San Diego. What makes this a truly special occasion aside from Mardi Gras, is opening for his mentor, Yodah.
